The best 4×4 by far

It’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for me to pander yet again to another one of Fairhope’s Special Interest Groups. Today I bow down not to a group, but rather to a Special Interest Individual. I am speaking of course of Fairhope’s Series IIA Land Rover owner.

Pictured above is my old ’67, on a camping trip out in west Texas.

No matter how many Range Rovers, G-Wagons, and Cyber Trucks fill our town, I will always yield to any hand cranked vehicle that I meet on our streets. Furthermore, if elected, I promise to personally help install a capstan winch on any local Series Land Rover not already so equipped (Aeroparts or Fairey Winch not included in this offer).

Whatever the outcome of this month’s election, we should all turn out and show our support for Fairhope’s British Car Festival in the Fall. It’s a fun show and a great bunch of people.

I always go to the car show, I grew up loving British Leyland cars, too bad I wasn’t a mechanic, would have been even more fun.
